Commercial Real Estate Sales

Brentwood Finance Company is looking for a motivated salesperson to join its growing family office in South San Francisco to source and originate commercial loans in California.

Responsibilities include:

  • Network contacts through referrals from real estate agents, buildings, developers, attorneys, accountants, and other industry professionals to solicit new client relationships and leads.
  • Establish and maintain relationships to develop potential business and retain existing business.
  • Keep informed of new trends and developments in the local commercial real estate market.
  • Participate and attend industry networking events to grow network and potential new leads.
  • Assist management with business development and marketing.
  • Maintain and develop an active client database.
  • Build strong lender relationships.
  • Evaluate potential loan products and services to determine what is best for the client, while counseling client regarding loan programs offered by lenders.
  • Collect and analyze clients’ assets, income and investments.
  • Guide client from application to closing, including, but not limited to, communicating loan status to all parties involved, obtain and review pertinent financial and credit data, negotiate terms and conditions of loan with client, and obtain all loan documentation after closing.
  • Broker commercial real estate loans through established lender relationships.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

  • Must have a current California Real Estate License.
  • A strong network of potential referral sources and perspective clients.
  • At least 3 years experience working in commercial real estate lending or related field.
  • Located in the Bay Area. We strongly recommend that you currently be located in the Bay Area and not “relocating” in order to demonstrate a network within the area for clients.
  • Knowledge of the commercial real estate lending industry, processing, credit analysis and regulations.
  • Broad knowledge of commercial loan products, secondary market and underwriting guidelines.
  • Proven sales experience and track record of achievement of sales goals which can be demonstrated.
  • Team player.
  • Customer service and results oriented.
  • Professionalism and confidentiality.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position with competitive commission split schedule (based on yearly closings) and the ability to work from home or any location in the Bay Area. Commissions will be determined by experience and ability to demonstrate a strong portfolio of potential clients.
